eBbay

eBay has started to pilot a new way of processing payments in Germany and Austria, including all new sellers in those regions. Instead of buyers making direct payments to sellers, buyers should pay directly to eBay who in turn, pays the seller. According to eBay, this will take out the hesitation from buyers who don’t want to pay large amounts to sellers they do not know.

The time frame by which eBay will send payments to sellers will vary, some immediately and some up to 14 days after marking the item as shipped. This all depends on the seller’s established history.

Do you think this is a good idea for both sellers and buyers?
